Gerken stands tall as Robins s

IPSWICH 0 BRISTOL CITY 0 DEAN GERKEN turned in a virtuoso display between the posts to secure a goalless draw for Bristol City at Ipswich.                                                                        Gerken made a string of superb saves in the second half, while Jack Colback hit the post for Ipswich.                                City also rattled the woodwork through Chris Iwelumo, but the game catalog printing became an exercise in survival for Gary Johnson's men as Town streamed forward.                                In the end Roy Keane's team had to settle for their 17th draw of the season.                                Robins boss Gary Johnson said: "Our goalkeeper was the difference today. In the second half he came into his own and had to make three or four magnificent saves and I'm proud of him."                                             Ipswich boss Keane was in agreement, saying: "In the two games we've played against them their keeper's been the difference between us having two points and six.                                "He was brilliant and sometimes you have to praise the opposition.                    Cartier Replica Watches             "In the second half the players were a bit braver than in the first. But we have to start at 3pm."                                In the eighth minute Ipswich forward Daryl Murphy broke into the box and teed up his former Sunderland team-mate David Healy.                                The Northern Ireland striker's effort was spilled by Gerken but City managed to scramble clear. The visitors did not win their first corner until the 34th minute, but could have taken the lead from the resulting set-play when Lewin Nyatanga headed just wide.                                An early pass from David Norris 10 minutes before half-time caught City's defence napping and Healy scampered clear only to be thwarted by Gerken. The keeper appeared to handle outside his area but referee Nigel Miller waved away the protests.                                Ipswich came even closer to that elusive goal when Grant Leadbitter slid a through-ball to marauding full-back Colback, who was unlucky to see his shot hit the post.                                At the other end, Ipswich keeper Brian Murphy made a superb save after David Clarkson fired in a long-range effort.                        postcard printing         Daryl Murphy then found himself one-on-one with Gerken, but the goalkeeper came out on top again. However, his finest moment came in the 70th minute when he blocked Gareth McAuley's close-range header.                               In stoppage-time Ipswich finally had the ball in Gerken's net but Miller correctly ruled that Connor Wickham's throw had gone straight in.                .
