"If it happened under my watch, I would not have allowed it. I was disappointed because I think I speak for everybody else who saw it," the Concert King expressed. Saying his reasons had nothing to do with the shots, Martin explained, "[It's about] all these ***ual things around her and all these stories that are ***ual in nature that the magazine contains, that is what I don't like." Though Martin has seen only the cover and said he could not give a "real answer" until he has seen all the shots, he spoke of the 'suggestive' nature of the magazine freely. "Because you know what, if somebody, a great artist for example would paint Pops or something, that's art. Here's an artist who did something for Pops, that's for LED Street Light LU02-56W art's sake. But FHM is not about art." He detailed, "Although the photographer (who took the shots) is artistic, the magazine is not art. So there's nothing really tastefully done there. It's all suggestive. It's all great for all the kids who are going through puberty, if you know what I mean. I've been through these magazines before, dapat mag 'Playboy' ka na lang mas maganda yung kinikita mo, di ba? Though I don't know how much they get paid for these things." In defense of Pops, Martin said he knew where Pops was coming from agreeing to the cover. "Sana she didn't do it but then again it might be a girl thing. Like you gotta be a Camay girl when you're 16 and then FHM cover girl when you're hitting 40.
